About Primary Pulse CPR

About

My name is James Jefferson, and I am the proud owner of Primary Pulse CPR. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, I now call Durham, North Carolina home. With a strong educational background in K-12 education, sports medicine, and educational administration and leadership, I have spent my career serving as a teacher, coach, mentor, and facilitator of health, wellness, and lifestyle courses.

The inspiration for founding Primary Pulse CPR came from my own experiences as an educator, administrator, and coach. In these leadership roles, maintaining CPR certification was required, particularly in athletics. However, the reality is that heart disease remains the number one cause of death in the United States, and the need for CPR extends far beyond the court or field. CPR is a life-saving skill that everyone—regardless of profession—should have access to and feel confident using.

At Primary Pulse CPR, I combine my passion for education with the mission of empowering individuals to take action during critical moments. I believe that through education, awareness, and hands-on training, we can equip people to save lives—in their homes, workplaces, and communities.

Let’s work together to make a difference. Let’s save lives—one heartbeat at a time.
